About

Alasdair Beckett-King is the crumbliest comedian in the game: a multi-award-winning stand-up comic and (occasionally) an internet sensation.

Come vagabonds, come mountebanks, come coney-catchers and cutpurses and meet the King of Crumbs! As seen on Mock the Week and 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.

Resident comic Howard Walker introduces the renewed Comedy Club format, "Howard Walker Presents..." this January with support from Christopher Donovan. Christopher Donovan was named Bath Comedy Festival New Act Of The Year earlier this year, after having previously been named runner-up of So You Think You're Funny and performing at Edinburgh Fringe for several weeks as part of a well-reviewed debut.

Getting to Know Christopher Donovan, Stand-Up Comedian

Stand-up comedian Christopher Donovan supports Alasdair Beckett-King in the first of the renewed comedy series by resident comic Howard Walker.

Now, Christopher Donovan brings his Fringe-famous, award-winning comedy to Silsden for the first time, as part of the Town Hall's efforts to give more opportunities to grassroots performers.

"Earlier this year I gigged in Bath and ended up winning the local competition. I love seeing the humour and preferences of different regions, and stand-up has given me the opportunity to travel all over the UK gigging. This is why I’m so grateful to be gigging at Silsden Town Hall. A venue that places emphasis on grassroots performers and gives them a chance to show what they can do. I haven’t been to the area before, and I’m excited to look around. If you enjoy material about physical weakness, card factory, working in retail, films, and Batman (you know, all the heavy topics), then we’re going to have a great night together. See you there!"

Christopher Donovan appears alongside Alasdair Beckett-King and Howard Walker this January at Silsden Town Hall.
