About the event
Prosper Merimée is struggling with his latest novella (on which Bizet's Carmen would be based) when Carmen turns up in his study, larger than life, with musicians in tow and chaos in her wake. Which of them controls the narrative? What will happen when Carmen discovers the nasty ending Merimée has planned her? A fun-filled evening of drama and music from Carmen and by Boccherini, da Falla, Granados and Ravel arranged for mezzo, flite and guitars of CarmenCo.
